The 2011–12 Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represents Iowa State University in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach is Fred Hoiberg who is entering his second season as a head coach. The team plays its home games at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa and are members of the Big 12 Conference. The Cyclones finished the 2010–11 season with a 16–16 record and 3–13 in Big 12 play and lost in the first round of the 2011 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament.
